Apple iPad 2: iPad 2 is the Tablet PC to Beat

The Apple iPad 2 went on sale on Friday, March 11, 2011 and promptly sold out online then at Apple stores in the USA. Delivery dates were pushed back from days to weeks. As noted by reviewers, the iPad 2 may not be revolutionary, but it is evolutionary.

Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal weighs in on the Apple iPad 2 in the video below. His first take:
Positive
=> iPad 2 is the tablet PC to beat, so far in 2011
=> Would recommend for the average, non-techie consumer
=> Thinner
=> Lighter
=> Faster, twice the processing power of original iPad
=> Increased graphics power (screen resolution and 10" screen same as original iPad)
=> Better battery life than competitors (10 hours)
=> Plenty of third party apps available (65,000+ optimized for iPad 2 in Apple App Store)
=> Wi-Fi, Verizon, and AT&T versions
=> Attractive entry price, price remains same as original iPad ($499 to $829)
Negative
=> Front and rear cameras are mediocre for still photos
=> Battery not quite as strong as on original iPad, but better than competitors
=> Does not play Adobe Flash video

WSJ "Walt Mossberg Reviews the iPad" You already know the highlights of the new Apple iPad: thinner, lighter, faster. But how is it to use? Walt Mossberg shares the results of his testing of the iPad 2.
