Tim Cook Profile Apple's new CEO Tim Cook, 50, joined Apple in 1997 and has been Chief Operating Officer since 2005. Cook has proven himself as an operations executive. He had previously stepped in for Co-Founder and now Chairman of the Board Steve Jobs three times, to oversee Apple Inc. while Jobs was on medical leave. Short-term, 1 to possibly 3 years, the product pipeline is in place, but the long-term continuation of legendary Apple innovation is the uncertainty.
